Possibly, Reginald James Salkeld,born in 1893, the son of Vernon and Agnes of Adwick. When Reginald enlisted, on 11 Decembr 1915 in either Pontefract or Wragby, he was 23 years old, a joiner of 42 Highwoods Rd, Roman Terr., Mexbrough and gave his father as next of kin. He was 5' 10" tall with a 35 " fully expanded chest and his religion was that of C of E. He was a member of the BEF on 26 May 1916. His army records tell he was reported MIA on 8 July 1916. He was reported to have died with a GSW to the left thigh at Gefaugnen Lager Labereth (?), Minden. There was a private PM on 10 August 1916. The records go on to say he was buried at Minderheide P/W cemetery, about 37 miles W by N of Hanover nr Minden, Germany and his next of kin notifed on 10 August 1922. Reginald rests in Hamburg Cemetery, Germany along with many others who were all brought together from over 120 cemeteries all over Germany.

Gnr G K Pashley ~ Killed in Action, Burma 1944

George Kenneth was the son of Reginald and Margaret Ann Pashley of Adwick upon Dearne. He served in the Army Catering Corps and died on 6 September 1944 aged 24. He rests in Imphal War Cemetery, India with over 1600 other casualties - of which over 100 are unidentified.
